They are worth the price I paid for them. Durable, dishwasher safe (maybe not recommended - just tried it) and the right thickness/weight for a serving platter at a party if you want it to stay where it's placed (not recommended for plate walking is too heavy) . The only downside is that the underside isn't as smooth as the top, with a "unglazed ceramic" feel that leaves a less than desirable "dry roughness" feel when lifted.
