Each makeup brush is beautifully packaged. They are individually wrapped and additionally double sealed. . In addition, each brush tip is protected by a plastic barrier to keep the bristles protected and smooth. The handles are plastic, but hard plastic. They are flat-bottomed and sit slightly upright. Regardless of the size of the brush, large or small, each had no problem staying on my counter. I usually just plant them at the base of the brush and that's the most stable way to do it. The smaller ones take on a little more grace and lightness. They're light and thin, so it makes sense. The bristles of the brush are very soft. They have a teal ombre tip and a pure white brush head base. These brushes work great on my skin and are very soft. I love the wide range of sizes. This is a very large set that will stay with me for a long time. Considering I only need a few brushes for all my makeup applications, it was easy for me to share them with my teenage daughter. We each chose the brush sizes we needed for everyday use and we had some left over for our little sister to play with and save for later. Even the little sister likes them because she can put them on the table and pretend to put on makeup like an older sister. She loves how the soft stubble feels on her cheeks. Although she doesn't apply makeup with brushes, they didn't irritate her sensitive skin.
