This can help them sit in place more easily, especially when working in hard-to-reach places. This is a relatively easy task, but takes a lot of time as there are many items to remove for easier access. Another good tip: put the diaphragm housing itself back in place first and note that the manifold vacuum tube slides in easily and then twists to snap into place, unlike the other tubes as they snap into place. Other people posting unfavorable install reviews may have trouble visualizing the build process, but I can't speak for them. I had no problems with this very cheap replacement part.
