Much better quality and fit than what we've tried at Target and Payless. Very happy with them. My daughter wears a 12-13 depending on the brand of shoes (we ended up buying a size 12 1/2 slippers from Payless). Bought a size 13 and they fit great with space (but not too much). A small bow on the front is functional, it allows you to adjust the shoes to the right size. I've learned that flats come in a wide range and all have a functional headband that allows you to narrow the width (at least the ones we tried at Target and Payless had the same function if I remember correctly). ). . By the way, if you're new to ballet (like us), I've found that my daughter is the rare kid in her class to wear black ballet flats. Maybe I should have bought pink ballet flats? I don't think she minds and they will look better longer because they hide dirt, but if you have a child who feels very insecure about standing out in any way, maybe stick with pink/flesh. .
