Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Cool Down Your Laptop with 2 Pack Copper Heatsinks Cooler by Daryl Fitch

Packing heat in a small package

To be honest I wasn't sure what impact these heatsinks would have, but I'm pleasantly surprised. My system is set to MSI GE73 Raider with Samsung 860 EVO and 970 EVO. I only installed a heatsink on the 970 EVO as the NVME drive gets hotter. The 860 was left blank and only had factory applied thermal tape in contact with the motherboard. I didn't install the tape under 970, it's a new drive too. Installation: After cleaning, I applied thicker thermal tape to the top of my 970 EVO making sure it lined up with the chips. Attaching the copper heatsink was easy: just place it on top and make sure it's closer to where you screw the drive into the motherboard. Gently press with your fingers to fold everything together, being careful not to press too hard as this is a very expensive sandwich. Tighten the rubber bands with your fingers and place them on the disc. I used 3 elastics, 2 on the edges and 1 in the middle. The straps stretch easily enough to fit anything without losing their elasticity. Features: Great for the price. My 970 nvme drive typically idles between 44ยฐC and 46ยฐC and can go up to 70ยฐC or more during operation. These are almost identical specs to my other 970 EVO that I had for 2 years. I did a test before and after installation. Before that, the temperature reached about 70ยฐC. After that, the drive struggled to reach 60ยฐ. Another thing to note is that it cools faster. The drive also idles comfortably at around 38ยฐC and sometimes climbs to 40ยฐC, so the 860 EVO (non-drain drive) does not feel alone. I also keep a laptop cooler under my laptop, usually all the time. Good airflow makes a difference in how well this and any other cooler performs. Thank you for reading my review, I hope it helps you!
