I've used compatible devices from two different brands, although they were probably all made in the same Chinese factory. In each case at least one of the 4 toners was defective due to spilled or dirty toner. Initial print quality is very good, but quality soon deteriorates, leaving streaks and blotches. In the best case I was able to use about 25% (75%) of the remaining cartridges before the print quality got so bad that they had to be replaced. If you do the math, it ends up costing the same as using the genuine Canon cartridges, which I'll order next, and don't worry about damaging the printer.
