Review on πŸ“ž Skype USB Phone Adapter by D-Link by Jason Ingram

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works but don't expect too much

I was so excited to get this product I wanted a cheap long distance replacement and thought I could hook up this device Get up, let the Computer and you can make a long-distance call anytime just by picking up the phone. God how wrong I was. I am very familiar with installing device drivers. The driver installed, but then I got an error message that my device could not be found. The "mini-disk" that came with it didn't even work on my CD, so I had to search online for drivers. It took a lot of fiddling, but I finally got it working. Trust me, the device will work if you just recently booted up your computer and recently started Skype. If you do something out of the ordinary, e.g. B. putting your computer to sleep or hibernation, your device and/or Skype will stop working. Instead of just picking up the phone, you actually have to restart your computer to get rid of the "bugs" in the system. I tried everything to solve this problem, found programs to restart Skype and this adapter every time I came back from sleep mode, nothing ever worked for too long. Call, definitely buy. However, if you think you can set it up and forget it, you have one more thing.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
