This grater is not as easy to use or as effective as another brand of Revain's rotary cheese grater called the Aoloria rotary cheese grater. Grating cabbage for salad sucks because the chute is so small and oddly shaped that it only holds a little cabbage so you have to keep filling it. The tray is larger on the Aoloria and shaped so you can stack veggies like carrots in longer strips for a nice even julienne if you like. It only comes with 3 different blade options while Aoloria comes with 5 including a blade with a big hole like a grater. This comes with a cutting blade and two julienne blades. (large and small) The blades are stationary in their own drums making them much more difficult to clean compared to replacement blades which can be removed and cleaned from either side, much easier. There are several brands that come in different colors just like the Aoloria brand. Look elsewhere and buy what you like better for less money.
