I bought this after my sister used it and was impressed. First I have to say that the smell wasn't as strong as I expected. Similar to hair developer but not as strong. Also, my sister used it on her bikini line, I used it on my armpits. In summer I usually shave every day, otherwise I don't feel comfortable in a sleeveless shirt. I didn't shave for two days before trying it so the stubble was decent. I applied the cream to both hands at the same time as suggested and let it work for 8 minutes. I tried a hair removal spatula but quickly switched to a washcloth. It seemed to work pretty well. But neither arm was straight, and both had stray hair. Enough that I don't want to wear a sleeveless shirt. I thought since this was my first experience I figured it was user error. I've waited more than 72 hours to try again. In the second round I applied a thicker layer of cream, treated each hand individually in the hope that this might be a problem and waited 8 minutes. It seemed to me that there was more hair. I haven't used an antiperspirant in 24 hours. So I hoped. One armpit ended in what I believe was a chemical burn. More than 24 hours have passed. My armpits looked freshly shaved, but nothing out of the ordinary. One is still burning and appears to be a little swollen. I'm anything but impressed. In my opinion the epilator hurts like hell but makes it so much better. I'm not throwing it in the trash, but I'll wait a few weeks before trying again.
