Bought this pump with our AE 1007 kayak for our trip to Hawaii. After 2 weeks of use, the pump broke at the junction of the shaft and T-handle. I wish I had bought a bellows foot pump instead of this pump. Before the handle broke, the pump worked as expected. He quickly inflated the raft, but once you start building pressure, a double-acting pump is not your friend. You will work against the pressure as you level up. I have used foot pumps on other rafts for years and thought it would be faster. Maybe, but there are some tradeoffs. I didn't like bending over the pump to inflate the raft. That becomes obsolete very quickly. Due to the nature of the pump, you will need to support the bottom of the pump with your feet. Given that the pump is pressurizing the raft as it moves up, I believe this is part of the cause of the failure. If you don't pull both sides of the handle evenly, this pump will break. Result. I will not trade my broken pump for this one. I will buy a foot pump to inflate the raft.
