You get what you pay for

As with everything else, you get what you pay for. Although wool seems warm enough for a Northeast Atlantic (Southern New Jersey) winter, it is thin and tears easily. I recommend a review if you are even a little unsure. My son wore a size 10/12 coat which fit very well (but it was torn so had to be replaced). When I got this on 10/12, the sleeves didn't even reach his wrists and I had to pull it over my shoulders with all my might. He is almost 12 years old but short for his height because he is severely disabled. Most of the time he wears a size 10/12 so I had no doubts about his size. Unfortunately I was wrong. I reordered and received 14/16 which looks huge but is definitely better than 10/12. On the other hand, this is a nice jacket that matches the color palette very well. The hat is cool, although thin, and looks and fits really well (but then again, it's small and that includes its head size, which is even smaller compared to its normal size). Overall impression: If you're buying this coat on a budget (like I am), do it, but don't forget to size up and consider the amount of "destruction" your child might be capable of ! It can break easily. If you are just trying to find a good deal I would suggest that you try to find the best brand on sale. Also, I let my son wear it for 3 days because he couldn't wear his old coat and I had to wait for the new coat to arrive, so I didn't try to return it as it was worn out. Because of this, I cannot address customer service issues or anything like that. It got three stars for the lovely coat and hat combo and for the price I got what I paid for so I think it's fair.
