The toilet is ideal for kittens from 5 weeks. At first I didn't really like the spatula because I use newspaper pellets. I'm sure it works well with sand or other fine materials. It's durable enough to put your little kitten in the litter box or leave them there until it's time for an adult size. It is easy to clean and practical as kittens get dirty while mastering the litter box. It is good if there are identical shells. I use them to store kibble for my crazy foster parents while they learn to chew on the pieces. Even after washing toys, kittens play crazy with them. I ended up getting a set of each color to switch between cleanings. I educate a lot. The baskets are holding up very well.
