This is the perfect size for teaching kittens how to use the litter box. I bought this because I am raising kittens for a local rescue center. I had 4 of them using the box at 5-6 weeks old! It is very small and you can easily get in and out. Feeding bowls are also suitable for kittens. I am very satisfied with this product. It was a great price and the kittens appreciated the toys included too!

I was bottle feeding 2 kittens and needed something small to get them into the litter box. It was the perfect size for her, but I quickly realized that the scoop that came with the kit would not fill a regular sized litter. This shovel could only sift fine sand, so I had to throw it away immediately. The box has no lettering, so the lumps of debris stuck to it like cement and it was difficult to try to prize them off. This cat starter kit does everything it says on the tin. The only thing is, if your kitten is over 8 weeks old, it will be too small for any cat. Depends on the breed of your kitten. I personally have two Manx kittens. They are naturally a smaller breed. They weigh 4 pounds and were too big for that. The only thing I would like to check for the dimensions before buying. Ideal for newborn kittens for litter box training. My kittens didn't like the plate of food. It's too deep for them.

The toilet is ideal for kittens from 5 weeks. At first I didn't really like the spatula because I use newspaper pellets. I'm sure it works well with sand or other fine materials. It's durable enough to put your little kitten in the litter box or leave them there until it's time for an adult size. It is easy to clean and practical as kittens get dirty while mastering the litter box. It is good if there are identical shells. I received this kit when I found out I was having a kitten (11 weeks old). It weighs 3 pounds and fits in a tray with plenty of room. She's not dirty when she's done, so she doesn't need high sides like my regular cats. Her paws slide a little along the bottom of the box, but she's used to it now. This is a great little box. The crate itself was pretty good for the little kittens I had at the time as I was worried they would have trouble going in the litter box because it was too big so I got this one. I later found out it wasn't real, but it was still good.
