The only problem with the starter set is the scoop. The holes are too small, making it a bit difficult to pick up without taking half the litter with you. Now that the minus has been eliminated, this is a great starter kit for those who have a kitten from 2 months old. I bought it the night I had a kitten because I really wasn't expecting to have a kitten, my sister just brought home 3 kittens and said I could have one. I didn't complain, but I also had to get a refill FAST. Luckily I already have three adult cats so I had most of the supplies on hand. By the grace of God the delivery was next day so I was ready to go. I made a makeshift tray overnight and it worked fine. The next day I gave him a big cage with his new pink stuff, he drank and ate from it normally. I've included a photo of him for scale, but he's a month older now. I will buy a larger litter box once my little one grows into a large kitten. He loves the little pink ball that comes with it. It's great, the kittens love to play so I'm glad it was included in the starter kit. I recommend it to owners of kittens over 2 months old who don't have all the necessary supplies yet!
