Review on Enhanced TrustFire DF30 150° Diving Photography Video Flashlight – 2350 Lumens Underwater Camera Dive Light with Rechargeable 32650 Battery by Mike Wheeler

Bright, even white light and pleasant design

Bright even white light with great colors, good battery life lasted for a full hour of immersion at high speed (flooded video setting) but now I switch between headlight settings (nice and bright) and video settings to save power. I made it through 2 dives (2 hours). I had to buy a new charger because the batteries are big and won't fit in my 18650 charger. I use 2 of these lights for my GoPro on a tray. The two lights eliminate all shadows and make for a fairly bright light, but in my video example I only use one light. If you use their ball mounts, USE LOCTITE or it won't hold in place and you'll end up stripping the threads. Keep trying to tighten them. I used blue (medium) but it wasn't strong enough. Red (permanent) is what you need. What I really recommend is to ditch the ball mounts that came with the flashlight. They appear to be made out of a pan and will break. If you're careful you might be fine, but I'm going to buy new ball joints. I use the ones that come with a separate screw that runs the full length of the bracket so it's really strong. They're $15 each, but that still makes this setup a lot cheaper than other flashlights. I have completed 50 dives with these lights to a depth of 140 feet with no problems. I dive a lot so will try to update this and let you know how they hold up. Update: 5 months later and still valid.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Difficult to say
