Do not buy this product, all the negative reviews about it are TRUE. Do not fall for advertising, do not believe its reliable appearance! On the first day of purchase, the device worked with a bang. I transferred some of the information from the laptop to the hard drive. At first I wanted to delete the information from the laptop, since it is now in a reliable disk, but then I changed my mind and copied it, but did not delete it. I left the hard drive on the table and never touched it again. The next day, I wanted to add more information to Transcend, and what was my surprise when the device did not appear on the computer. I reconnected the cord, and so several times. At that moment, I REMEMBERED ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, only people in them complained about a breakdown in a month, in five months, BUT NOT IN ONE DAY. Before this hard drive, I used 3 flash drives from various companies for transferring and storing data: Kingston, Silicon Power, Transcend. All of them are still in perfect working condition, their appearance is also 5, and the oldest flash drive was purchased in 2022. I did not believe that something in a hard drive could suddenly stop working, because a flash drive and a disk have the same principle of operation. Finally, after much torment, this device was displayed on the laptop. I immediately deleted the contents of the disk and double-checked again to make sure nothing was left. Disconnected from the laptop, and then began to try to connect again. And, if before that the button on the disk was at least blinking, then here it stopped working. Now I am determined to return the product immediately. The consultants assured me that the product was in good working order, and that my laptop was malfunctioning (how is it, my cell phone, 3 flash drives, a camera, other people's flash drives - my laptop sees all this), and in extreme cases, they offered to exchange the product for the same one ! What is most interesting, the sellers checked the performance of the hard drive on their work laptops, and the Transcend HAD connected to all of them, as if nothing had happened, just like I did on the day of purchase. Somehow I managed to return the goods and money.
