Game night? Solve it yourself first

Solve it yourself first to avoid frustration on game night. Here's why:I've completed several escape rooms, but this was my first board game version. The concept and the 3D aspect drew me in! As other reviews said, there are a few errors on the hint cards, the instructions aren't very clear, and even the hint cards are pretty vague. I brought this game to our biweekly game night, super excited to try it out, and we all fizzled out 20 minutes after having no idea how to solve the first puzzle. We switched to a different game. To be fair, we're pretty stubborn and refuse to take hints 90% of the time.Later, determined to leave no escape game unsolved, I went through the entire game by myself, had to use a hint card almost every time, found the errors, and reassembled it, so that I could try once more with my family, but this time with me as a GM guiding them through the puzzles with less vague instructions. Like I said, I'm stubborn 😌
