I bought this cable to connect a thunderbolt dock to my laptop so the protruding cable doesn't stick out the side of the laptop 3" and maybe snag on something and possibly Break the USB-C connector. I now have a nice right-angle dongle that only sticks out 3/4" from the side, and my heavy Thunderbolt dock cable is neatly tucked away in the back of the laptop. I tried a few right angle adapters first, but the wrench is much better and puts less strain on the connector. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my other laptop.
