On receipt the bag was folded in half and wrapped in a transparent plastic bag tightly sealed with packing tape. The plastic bag has a sticker that says "Made in China". As soon as I opened that plastic bag and unzipped the backpack, I immediately smelled a fishy odor coming from the lining. The type of fabric is not described on the web and from my observations it is not nylon. I immediately asked the seller via Q&A about the smell. A few days later I got an answer to leave it outside so that the smell will dissipate. I did this for a few days and it didn't help much. So the bag is not a keeper, although the material on the outside is pleasant, a kind of dense nylon, like the accessories, dark gray with a shiny finish. Too bad.
