This toaster is so cheap that even early or late failure is not a problem. I've bought much more expensive toasters and often stopped working and had to waste time calling the company to request a replacement and waiting about a week to get a new toaster. I noticed that this toaster has a longer warranty than my kitchen toaster which only had a one year warranty! It says you can't toast cupcakes in this toaster. This will likely void your warranty if you find a lot of jellies in your toaster. My husband found it so odd that you can't put tarts in a toaster but oh well. we don't eat them very often. Before using this toaster for the first time, I squeezed the handle and made toast without toast. Burn any chemicals or oils left over from production. After that it worked wonderfully. If there are problems I will update!
