When it sticks, the thing is a feast for the eyes. Very bright rainbow craze. Looks like a CD in the sun. The material is a thin plastic sheet with a sticky backing that only slightly increases the thickness of whoever it's stuck to. However, it doesn't stop at everything. It won't even pretend to stick to a porous surface. Adheres perfectly to non-porous plastics and can be removed without leaving any residue. The backing is difficult to peel off as it is very thin and won't get scratched, but on the other hand, it's not that easy to accidentally peel off what you stick it on. You really have to get your fingernail in to get it off.
