I am using this with a NETGEAR Nighthawk X10 router. I set up the X6S in AP mode (because it performs better than normal extender mode) and it was great. I love the One WiFi Name and Smart Roaming features. Setup was very easy (I used the web interface on my iPhone) and it improved the one part of my house that needed a stronger signal. The entire house is covered by strong Wi-Fi coverage and there is no noticeable drop in performance anywhere in the house. I ran about 30 speed tests (10 per day on three different days) and the results were the same everywhere I tested over that period. I've had 0 outages or performance drops. Read all the documentation on the website for this extender and learn how to get the most out of it before setting it up. When setting up, be sure to follow the instructions in the manual. There are small things to consider (see operating instructions), so read everything. If you take the time to familiarize yourself with how this device works beforehand, you won't be disappointed. I have never had a problem with NETGEAR products and have purchased many of them. Typically, people who complain about NETGEAR products don't take the time to learn how to set up and use the device. It works great in my home and I'm glad I bought it even though it's expensive. If you plan to use the extender in AP mode as well, I recommend purchasing a Category 6a cable (make sure the length suits your setup) and NETGEAR PowerLINE 1200Mbps (PLP1200) powerline ports so you can use your Router and X6S can connect via Ethernet.
