My original coaxial connector, which I drilled into the side wall of my motorhome for my Dish Wally, was so badly corroded in just three years that it actually fell apart on the inside. The aluminum on the perpetual side was corroded and pitted as the cap was a dust cover rather than a rain cover. This Furrion was waterproof when I tested it under the faucet and it was a great replacement. Also, I find it easy to wrap my fingers around the coaxial cable to screw it on. I just wish it had a "baseplate" to mount it on to cover the original three holes from my last connector. My wally can't see my tailgater and now I'm very happy!
