I bought these after my O-Cedar started leaking. I was going to buy another one of what I already had but they no longer sell that version. I bought it not knowing I couldn't use regular tap water to clean my wooden floor. I was surprised to find out that the bottle is completely sealed and I cannot replace it with tap water. I don't want to walk on a floor wiped with detergent or let my kids go barefoot. I read other reviews to understand how to replace detergent with water. There is a rubber washer on the top of the lid that I was able to pry out with a very small flat head screwdriver. I was able to empty the bottle and fill it with water and was able to almost put the rubber washer back on. But some water dripped. So I tried unscrewing the lid. I ran hot water over the lid for a few minutes. Not sure if that helped or not, but I was able to open the lid with a bit more force. And I was able to fix a rubber washer that didn't fit properly before to stop the dripping. And voila, I was able to use this mop with water, which is exactly what I wanted. I didn't like the disposable pad that came with this mop as it felt too flimsy and flimsy for any real cleaning. Instead, I switched to an O-cedar rug left over from my previous floor cleaners. This is my first review. I don't write reviews because who has time? But I really hate this marketing gimmick where companies sell things cheap and try to make money in other ways like B. Forcing customers to buy *their* cleaning products, even if it means exposing people to dangerous chemicals. Every time you use a cleanser, it needs to be washed off with water so our bodies are not exposed to the chemical. This mop doesn't do that. Regulation is not enough when it comes to the chemicals we are exposed to, and we wonder why cancer rates are getting so high. As consumers, we need to make informed choices about what we buy and stay away from products that expose us to chemicals of any kind. I would give this product 1 star but I'm giving 3 stars because I was able to find a workaround and use it with water. Their product seems well designed, but they shouldn't force their cleaning products on us. If they don't have enough profit, they are free to increase the price of the product and that is perfectly acceptable to me.
