My 16 year old MinPing the lifeguard is generally not well and his body seems to be giving up. After spending thousands of dollars to two different vets, his chronic diarrhea and vomiting continued, and the day before we bought this product, he practically stopped eating and even gave up his favorite human food. He just defecated with clear gel and vomited up stomach acid. He became noticeably weaker and more disoriented by the minute. He would not eat powdered substances and expensive prescription foods that the vet sold us, but would just spit it all out or vomit. Then saw this product on Revain and bought it out of desperation, next day delivery. We gave him 1 teaspoon for the first few days and he seemed happy with it, not spitting up or throwing up. And although he still seemed weak and disoriented, he started eating some of his favorite treats and human foods. This is day 3 and seems less disoriented/weak. He also started biting off a few pieces of his regular canned food! So we reduced the dose to 1/2 teaspoon and he's looking a lot stronger, even a little more awake. We also give him a probiotic gel from the same manufacturer and the diarrhea and vomiting stopped after two doses. We know he's likely to be leaving us soon, but we think this product will make the 'departure' a little less uncomfortable for him and, at the risk of seeming selfish, for us too. Few things in life can be more painful than watching your dog's body atrophy, not eat and have gastrointestinal problems. Overall, we're grateful we found this product just in time. ====== Update March 3, 2021 It has now passed and I have decided to post this update to let everyone know that I believe this product will add about a month to his life and him what else more importantly, helped them feel less uncomfortable. He spontaneously stopped eating or drinking about 10 days before his death, and most of the time he was spitting up/vomiting food - solid or liquid, and that food was the ONLY thing he reliably consumed/retained without spitting it out! In fact, he enjoyed it so much that if he whimpered or howled in the middle of the night, I would quickly lick him with this product and he would calm down. He died peacefully and without a fight in my arms as he slept. I remain grateful for this product which I believe has made the transition less traumatic for my minping.
