Review on LEGO Architecture Skyline Collection Building Building Toys in Building Sets by Alexander Morgan

Lego NYC, how cute!

Hey, how are you? I loved the Lego London Skyline set (see my review below) and as a New Yorker (Long Islander to be precise) I should have gotten this set too. New York, also known as Manhattan, is one of America's most famous cities and this Lego skyline set beautifully depicts some of its most famous landmarks. The detail in the Empire State Building is virtually impeccable, the famous stainless steel spire of the Chrysler Building is beautifully sculpted, and they even managed to recreate the triangular pattern of the One World Trade aka Freedom Tower (at least as best as possible using square and rectangular pieces). The Flatiron Building is a nice touch too, and of course you can't imagine New York City without the Statue of Liberty (although it doesn't look like a Lego minifigure I checked, lol!). Be aware that One World Trade scaled this model up to ten inches high and about eleven inches long. So if you plan on adding it to your collection, make sure you make enough space, otherwise, hey Fuhgeddaboudit!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Mostly fine, but...
