Great damper for the money

I did ALL the searches before deciding on this product. I drive them in a '76 Corvette and they're great. I've replaced all control arm bushings with polymer bushings, new stabilizer bar bushings, tie rods, etc., but I'm using factory 7-leaf springs and bolts. It was up to them, either Bilstein HD or Sports or a combination of both. All I read was that Bilstein is great but can be a little harsh. Those that have used these Delco air conditioners seemed very happy with the ride and have no complaints about stiffness, plus they cost $200 less! 1 year later we are very happy, love these AC Delco shock absorbers. Excellent quality product, solid construction. These are not cheap copies of Gabriel! Another myth. They corner well, they ride pretty flat, but I think the Bilsteins corner flatter, but they don't roll. They are very comfortable, the ride is soft but not sloppy. At speed, and I got the vert to about 90mph, the car doesn't float and remains a good ride, it's more about the steering and other hard parts, but the dampers play a role. As for durability versus Bilstein? I do not know. These guys say the Bilsteins are good for 100,000 miles and in 6 months we'll be running to change the Delco AC. B.S. So far so good and for the money I will replace them when they show wear and don't bother taking out a second mortgage and using my overpriced shock absorbers beyond their useful life!
