The string is not an adjustable string to make it tight.
The shorts are excellent, main material comfortable for my boy. Only the photos showed a drawstring, suggesting it was a drawstring to adjust the waist for size. With shorts that serve no purpose, thread is useless.

- Order one size smaller.

- Not a real tie and fits a size too big so can't draw in your waist. waste of money
