Review on Thinlerain Monitor - 17 Inch Mountable Built with 1280X1024 Resolution, Built-in Speakers and HDMI Connectivity. by Joaquin Vasquez

Decent monitor in my review.

I've had it for a few days now and off the bat I'll say this is a decent monitor so far. The black level is pretty good. Conclusion: A good buy for the money. There are some downsides, but to be honest, none of them reach the buy/don't level. just. The built-in auto-calibration process was very inaccurate, causing white to appear paler blue than white. After using the Windows color calibration process for the first time and then manually adjusting the monitor color, I was satisfied with a tolerable white. 2) The monitor comes with a tiny manual that tells you next to nothing in half a dozen languages. He spends more ink screwing on the bottom table leg than anything else. 3) The monitor controls are small bars on the bottom rear: Auto, Menu, Up, Down, and Power. Nothing in the manual explains how to actually navigate the menus. (Tip: The Menu button also doubles as a Select or Enter button.) .The controls are on the back and aren't visible, so I found it necessary to create a notch on the front of the monitor to accommodate to prevent accidental pressing of the wrong keys (see photo). 4) My monitor is mounted on a VESA wall mount. The monitor is designed to be hung on a 100mm VESA mount BUT only the top two screw holes are covered with metal threads (M4). (Tip: The self-tapping screws provided with the plastic table stand work satisfactorily with the bottom two VESA mounting screws and secure them in place.)
