This case is beautiful and protects the Wyzecam from dust, UV rays and water vapor in the air (condensation). However, it is not fully waterproof. I wouldn't mount it directly in the rain but rather on a coated wall, under the ceiling and under the eaves to keep out rain or snow. It has cavities at the bottom and back for ventilation and removal of any moisture that gets inside. The aluminum threaded rod is too short and its grip wobbles on the threads, but this tightens the camera position. I like it when a manufacturer offers a reverse mount housing for the Wyzecam Pan. Many owners, myself included, would like to hang this camera upside down from the center of the ceiling, whether indoors in a large room or outdoors under a eaves angle to give you a 360 or 270 degree view.
