Extremely impressed with what this adds to the Wyze Cam. I was hesitant to fit a non-weather proof camera, it was too big but it did the job! I installed this and it has withstood several feet of snow, freezing rain and temperatures down to -20F (cold winds down to -50F). I gave 4 stars because I couldn't figure out how to hold the camera in place. I am very happy with my Wyze camera and Wyze body! I placed it under the eaves so it would be "protected from the sun and rain". After reading other suggestions, I lubricated the holes with a weatherproof plastic spatula to keep bugs, dust, etc. out. This case is beautiful and protects the Wyzecam from dust, UV rays and water vapor in the air (condensation). However, it is not fully waterproof. I wouldn't mount it directly in the rain but rather on a coated wall, under the ceiling and under the eaves to keep out rain or snow. It has cavities at the bottom and back for ventilation and removal of any moisture that gets inside. Not sure how well it will perform in heavy rain as there is no silicone seal between the rear and front lenses and the front lens is exposed to the air. However, this allowed me to install the camera in a better place. Rain is expected for all of next week so time will tell how it holds up. Love this mount and camera body. It installs easily and provides adequate protection for me where I have my camera / I will have no problem with water, sun or excessive dust where it is, so YMMV. I have to say the case is well designed and most likely waterproof. As you can see in the photo, I installed it under the ceiling in my house. I wanted the USB power cable to be routed through the case and hence the base so it wasn't exposed and vulnerable. As you can see in the picture I sawed through a round hole to put the connector on the attic. The hole needs to be larger to accommodate the end of the plug.
