I have to say the case is well designed and most likely waterproof. As you can see in the photo, I installed it under the ceiling in my house. I wanted the USB power cable to be routed through the case and hence the base so it wasn't exposed and vulnerable. As you can see in the picture I sawed through a round hole to put the connector on the attic. The hole needs to be larger to accommodate the end of the plug. I plugged the hole in the picture with a rubber plug and it worked fine. My main complaint is that I've recently had to remove the camera, and while I was able to unscrew the bracket easily, I had to undo the four screws holding the case in place to disable USB power delivery. The reason I had to detach the camera is because I needed to change the Wi-Fi SSID and to do that you have to go back into setup mode. To do this, you must have a naked camera in hand. If the designer had made the USB port accessible from the outside, it would have been easier to remove. If Wyze found an easier way to change the SSID instead of holding down the setup button and going through the initial setup, it would be easier. Overall I give it a pretty good score because for the cost of the case here and the Wyze camera, this should be the most affordable outdoor camera solution.
