I never write reviews but wanted to take the time to comment on this product after reading the reviews, purchasing and using this item. First of all, I'm not at all a girly girl and I sometimes get manicures done or go to a salon to have them done. But the salon is getting more expensive, not to mention tips. I have always loved gel polish as it lasts for weeks and there is no time to wait for the gel polish to dry. I also wanted to have my own gel kit so I could easily make it myself for a one time price. I was skeptical about buying a $40 product because $40 pretty much covers a trip to the nail salon. This set is simply AMAZING. The packaging was neat and appropriate and when I opened the box it looked like I had my own nail salon in my living room. The tools it came with were the same tools a pro would use. They gave you nail polish remover wipes, nail clippers, cuticle remover (which smells amazing) and cuticle remover tools. They even offer a pocket to store all your tools when not in use to keep them away. GEL DYES - WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THEM! It contains 6 neutral gel colors, 2 of which are glitter gels. The UV light has special settings and timers for personalization. It was easy to use! I washed my hands, trimmed cuticles, washed my hands again, applied nail polish remover to dry the nail, applied base coat (UV for 1min and 30s), applied color (UV for 2min), applied a second coat. (UV 2 min), applied above (UV 2 min). My nails were dry after this method - not sticky or dirty - smooth and dry! I waited 5-10 minutes to make sure they were done and I washed (hand washed) all the dishes and the polish was still bright and intact - no chips or stains, just a smooth, shiny coating . After that I was impressed so I took the time to write this review. SO. If I (of all things) succeed in doing that, the monkey can. If you haven't had successful results, you're doing something wrong.
