that's why people say "the strap on the toe chokes it" mmm all the straps are connected inside the shoe. It may appear that this is not the case. because they don't work like normal shoelaces, but you really have to pull and tighten/loosen other straps to adjust them to your foot! I usually have a 7.5 and I ordered 8, they are a LITTLE big so if you like narrower shoes I would order 7 maybe 7 wide. But these shoes are perfect and you really just have to adjust the straps and pull them up to get the right fit!
