Review on 🧲 Neodymium Magnetic Kitchen Industrial Hardware - Exceptionally Strong and Efficient for Workplace Use by Keegan Herbert

Does not correspond to what the seller said, but still a good magnet and bolt finder.

I've done some informal testing on them.1. When the magnet is attached to my horizontal surface (shelf mount), it holds the detergent container filled with water, which weighs 132 ounces (8.25 pounds). It was the moment when if I shake the container a little or squeeze it, it falls down. So I wouldn't trust it to hold something that heavy without the possibility of it falling. 2. When attached to a vertical surface (see image, not the same surface as #1) the magnet slid down and held 55 oz (3.4 lbs). This was the moment when any movement of the load could cause it to slip. The above tests are obviously highly dependent on the metal to which the magnet is attached and the properties of the surface, so these results should vary widely. This is exactly what I saw in my test conditions. The magnets come unassembled in a surprisingly small box. You need to screw the hook into the metal base. Contrary to some reviewers, I received all 25 bases and hooks. Another bonus of using this magnet is the spike detector. They are strong enough to stick to the wall anywhere a nail will hold the drywall to the stud. You simply slide the magnet along the wall until you feel a twitch. If this is repeated at vertical intervals then the hairpin is there. Unfortunately, they aren't strong enough to support anything other than their own weight on the wall. The magnets did not hold the advertised 22 lbs under my test conditions (one star deducted), but they seem to be of good quality. and worth the money in my opinion. You will find many uses in my household. I paid full price for these magnets as part of the lighting deal.
