Review on Dritz 44237 Upholstery Zipper 72 Inch by Heather Shaw

Slider is the cheapest piece of metal. I bought this to fix the zipper on my grandma's couch. The tie near the zipper hooks on one of the pillows had come undone. The sofa is 60 years old. I carefully sewed on this zipper; The flash looked like a great match to what it was before. However, the sliders bent on the first attempt to attach the sofa cushion. No upholstery quality. Upon closer inspection, I could use my fingertips to bend the slide toward or away from my teeth. I ended up using a 60 year old slider that was sitting on the couch with new tape/teeth. Closes like a charm. I would not recommend this product for upholstered furniture. I assume the zipper would work fine if there was no pressure on the slider (as is the case with sofa cushions).
