I needed a replacement for my Sennheiser HD518 which I accidentally broke for a while but fair warning. Not sure if all models of this product are the same or not but mine came loose. This wasn't a problem as the audio could still be played through, but after a while (several months) I noticed problems with the audio coming in and out, the first signs of wear somewhere. i need wires needs to be adjusted to avoid audio issues, from the ability to only hear from one side of the headphone to inaudible noise etc. Thinking it might be my spare cables (headphone to adapter) I braced myself to order another but forgot i bought another headphone adapter which for some reason has problems playing audio through my ipod but no problem when connected to my pc. I used this (which fits exactly as it should) to find out if that adapter was to blame, and indeed it was. sound problems. In short I wouldn't recommend this and would return it if you get a chance to wiggle it. Be sure to buy the original and save yourself the headache as the original lasted me 3 years compared to this one that didn't even last a year (bought June 2020).
