My 2 Cents - Welding and Soldering

Recently bought two welding machines. First a small Chinese welding machine and then this one. I don't know what's wrong with the welder, but I can't get a decent arc to start welding no matter what the amperage. disappointment followed. Then I tried these. I cannot rate it highly enough. It welds like a dream with very little spatter/bbs. It has enough power to weld whatever I'm going to do and the weld quality is absolutely on par with my Forney 125 which I upgraded to DCEN. If you're a weekend welder like me and looking for what I think is the best deal on cored wire welders, I suggest this one. If you're making non-critical welds with material (mild steel) of 3/16" or less, and if you're grinding and doing multiple passes, probably 1/4". My 2 cents. Yes, I would happily buy again - excellent welder! Update: The Welder continues to be a great machine. There are a few components that obviously need an upgrade which are fairly standard additions to these inexpensive imported welders including mainly the mask and slag hammer/brush and the ground clamp works but is an upgrade to a 300 amp Lincoln clamp. Worth considering if you will be welding quite a bit. Mask and hammer/brush help, so to speak. I would advise anyone buying this or any of the flux cored/MIG welders (and yes, MIG welders) to get a better face mask, a chipping hammer and a stainless steel brush. If you've never welded before, there are many great YouTube videos made by people who know a lot more about welding than me and provide instructions aimed at getting beginners up and running. I bought it for its portability and normally only use 2 lb reels of .030 wire. If you are looking for a very good, inexpensive welder, Zeny/Zenstyle welders seem to fit most buyers. My brother will be getting my welder (I suspect the output just doesn't match 115VAC, I'll test it with a multimeter before giving it to him). I'll get Zeny/Zenstyle soon. Who needs the frustration of inefficient devices - not me!
