    Great home welder, especially at such a great price! The instructions are very small and difficult to see, and the instructions for setting up the welding wire coil are wrong, but it can actually only move in one direction, and it's not that difficult to figure out. The welding shield that came with the kit sucks a bit, so I'd recommend a better quality shield. This welder operates on 110V, so it can be plugged directly into a household outlet.     Welder works great! I used to return this item thinking it was defective, but I was wrong. Although, directions should be better. I'm a beginner with very minimal knowledge of welding. I don't know about welding (I thought it was a blown fuse or shorted out something in the car, but it wasn't). I didn't realize that the trigger had to be held down to initiate contact.     First, I'm not a welder. I'm a regular homeowner Joe who likes to play around with stuff around his house. I took several welding courses 30 years ago and wanted to get back into welding. I was looking for a DC flux cored wire welder and was pleased to find one for $99. The device seems solid enough, but the instructions are almost non-existent.     Absolutely Amazing

    I was amazed at how well this thing welded. If you've never used a flux core before, this process is cleaner than pure CO2, but maybe a little squispier than mixed gas. The current generation of cored wire welding technology is as good as MIG welding technology in terms of productivity and weld quality - nothing beats the first generation welders sold by local hardware stores a few years ago. You just have to remember to clean the welds before the second pass - just like you would with a stick.

    My 2 Cents - Welding and Soldering

    Recently bought two welding machines. First a small Chinese welding machine and then this one. I don't know what's wrong with the welder, but I can't get a decent arc to start welding no matter what the amperage. disappointment followed. Then I tried these. I cannot rate it highly enough.
