It serves my purpose

I got one of these to see if it would work with my Hikvision camera's signal output and it works. I can now use this relay to activate a 110v light when I receive a movement signal, intruder alarm or line crossing. You can enable all or one of them in your camera software. I chose program #2 for my purpose. Now the camera turns on the light when it receives an alarm and stays on for the time I programmed into the relay. It then disconnects and waits for another trigger. If you don't want the light to turn on during the day, you need to add a light sensor in series on the low or high voltage side. The low side is trickier so I fitted an outside sensor (available online or from your HD or Lowe's) on the high side where the light is mounted. Works great! It is also very easy to program. It comes with a nice guide. I would give 5 stars if it came with a plain case. You must install it in a controlled environment. I use PoE cameras, so I buy PoE splitters (48V to 5V micro USB for about $10) for each camera and install them all indoors next to lights. The specs say you need 6-30V power, but it's great for a regular 5V 2.0A phone charger as it also has a micro USB power connector. Will definitely be ordering more for my other cameras soon. You can do the same with similar relays, but the extra line on the LCD panel makes programming easier.
