Hosmart has excellent customer service and technical support. Once we received the sensor and positioned it correctly at a 45 degree angle to incoming traffic, the system worked perfectly every time. We received an upgraded solar panel unit but as you can see the trees are blocking the sunlight. Tech support tells us that the sensor's rechargeable lithium-ion battery will stay charged for up to six months anyway. We highly recommend this driveway sensor for the excellent customer care and technical support. the number of false alarms, but we felt it was a lot from the start, so we just went with one sensor. The ringtone isn't too loud, but enough to draw your attention from even the farthest corners of the house, including the top floor. Last year, a Hosmart road sensor from the previous model failed after about a year of operation. When we messaged about the situation through Revain, Hosmart was quick to respond and offered discounts on the new and improved version, which we quickly purchased. The sensor unit comes fully charged and is easy to check by plugging it into the watch to see blue. Sensor display flashes. It is not recommended to put batteries in the base station when the device is powered from a wall outlet. They are not rechargeable batteries and are only considered standalone backup batteries. The technical representative also recommends connecting the device to a UPS power supply in the event of a power failure. Overall it was a great purchase and we would highly recommend it to others.
