I was about to return it after over an HOUR trying to plug it in using the included instructions to first download the eFamilyCloud app and follow the steps. It just doesn't work. It will not pair with this app or Alexa. He sent me a message that I "might" need to modify my wireless router - that was the straw that broke the camel's back. It was supposed to be an easy setup, and it was far from it. I pulled out an old Gosund smart plug that I also had and figured I'd just have to forego the extra plugs. Guess what appears when I plug in a Gosund smart plug? Renewal. THIS extension was connected to my Gosund app. And from there it works great. I'm glad I didn't send it back. 1 star for ease of use. If I hadn't accidentally found it in the app I already had for another smart plug I would have returned it immediately. 3 stars for the overall rating. It works great once you run it - in another brand's app. I would have given the strip 5 stars if it was that easy to do from the start if it wasn't so frustrating and wasted so much time. So if you're frustrated because the thing just doesn't fit. Try the Gosund app.
