Very noisy and sensitive. works perfectly.

Very loud and sensitive. Just make sure to use the hole in the disc so the sensor (near the locking pin) is covered by the disc and not the empty space. My 2005 CBR1000RR has a bit of a hassle stowing under the passenger seat and it's best to leave the lock open there to avoid false alarms while driving.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Nothing

Complete junk, good for anti-theft protection

Totally useless and annoying. The alarm is PERMANENTLY ON. Whether locked or unlocked. On the bike or off. If you move it even a little, you say goodbye to your eardrum. Once the alarm sounds, unlocking it will not turn it off. You just have to wait the most annoying 10-15 seconds for him to shut up. I can't even leave a battery in or it will just die. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Reliability

Interior is worth every dollar

I have owned this product for less than two years. I loaded and disarmed it every day for a year. I used it in the rain. It's pretty delicate. It's extra sensitive when you first turn it on, but after the alarm goes off, it's got the right sensitivity. Not sure if it's specifically designed, but pretty cool. Oh I have yet to replace the battery after less than 2 years of continuous use and I mean CONSTANT usage. IMO worth the money.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Useless features

Serenity is good for anti-theft protection

This lock is a good buy. I use it on my Indian Scout Bobber and it gives me peace of mind. The lock is a tight and solid piece of metal, and the alarm is piercing. But it's still compact enough to fit in a saddlebag or backpack, which is perfect. You'll quickly discover how many people (formerly) love to pick up your bike and watch them look at it when you hear the alarm clock a few blocks away. That keeps your hands off it. I highly recommend.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

Someone said in the reviews buy this if you want a lock. I bought it when the guide said it would fit a Suzuki Bandit. They were right, it fits, but it's too big and makes it easy to turn off the alarm by moving the alarm about an inch. The manual contains more information on the correct rotor size. I would start with this next one. Time I need to buy a hard drive alarm.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • So-so

Solidly made and I feel so much better when I have to park my bike outside!

This Floppy Lock/Alarm is very solid and works great. It may come off when you try to put it on or take it off, especially in wet weather. I just put in my little earbuds that I use when I ride, so if they work it's okay. I am much more comfortable with my bike parked in the community parking lot now that I have a Xena Disc lock/alarm. I highly recommend it.

The key broke inside: Alarm systems

Trying to activate the alarm was a nightmare at first. The instructions say you have 20 seconds to remove the plastic strip and assemble. Not true! You have about three seconds to assemble it before it ruptures in your eardrum. So I thought fuck it who cares I paid more for this alarm lock I hope it's still good I just won't activate the alarm. Everything was fine when the bike was not used. Until one day I decided to open it and broke the key in the lock! Now I have to call a locksmith to try…

Pros

Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Cannot be used without an arm/disarm switch

If it had an arm/disarm option it would be much better. I literally can't even use it with an alarm. If the brake disc is removed from the motorcycle, any movement will deactivate the alarm. Why is it useful? It's almost impossible to turn this thing on and off without the alarm going off. I have to be at work early and I don't want my neighbors squeaking off the window at 5am when I tried to take the window off my bike. I would be angry if they did this to me. So I removed the battery, used a…

An effective deterrent with some downsides.

Not only does it act like a wheeled "boot" preventing someone from just rolling your bike away, it also has a pretty good alarm that goes off when motion is detected. The only gripe I have is the actual spring-loaded button lock and the time it takes to disarm the device. It may be difficult to lock and unlock the actual device lock in time. It's spring loaded. The alarm clock counts a few beeps before the alarm clock starts ringing shrilly. It's easy to panic when you're fiddling with your key
