Review on Moog LK003 MOOG Steering Knuckle by Pop Henneghan

Bearings don't last 2 years - very disappointed

Wheel Bearing Defective 2 years in my customer's 2011 Ford Focus - very disappointed. I installed it in a customer's car in July 2019 but it broke down in May 2021. The bearing got stuck in the knuckle and my 20 ton press did its best to break it. I don't know about the 3 year warranty but I'm pretty sure I voided it by installing a new SKF bearing in the MOOG knuckle. I make every effort to use quality parts in my customers' vehicles. I am more and more disappointed with the quality of the spare parts from well-known companies. SKF manufactures a complete steering knuckle for the Focus. I'd recommend trying this instead of that MOOG part if you have a choice. Come on MOOG - you can do better than that. Edit: just wanted to add that the mileage with the MOOG bearing was only about 35k in about 22 months. . Too early to fail a quality bearing.

Pros
  • WALK AHEAD SOLUTION - Conveniently pre-assembled and includes premium parts such as MOOG knuckle, MOOG wheel hub with studs, bearing, axle nut, skid plate and premium ball joint (where applicable) for a walkthrough
Cons
  • Almost OK
