I'm not usually a fan of microfiber towels - they stick to my skin in a weird way and every little thing in the dryer sticks to them and in my past experience, they are ultimately not worth the extra effort. They don't look at all like any other microfiber towel I have and I don't know why - at first I wouldn't believe they are actually microfiber because they don't stick to the skin weirdly like any other microfiber towel. . This towel picked up towels better than my microfiber towels and didn't get wet like my cotton towels, so I was starting to think maybe that was really it. I have a lot of kitchen towels that I hate because they're pretty but they don't absorb anything so I end up smearing everything on the countertop and end up with a handful of paper towels to get the job done. I haven't reached for paper towels since I got these and they are enough to hang on the oven door handle when not in use. I don't know if it's a towel, but I have a feeling smooth surfaces (like my faucet or fridge) end up looking shinier than wiping them down with a regular towel. I'm not sure about the germ removal ability as I don't have access to any scientific stuff to test with a regular kitchen towel but based on my experience of using it as a kitchen towel it's worth every penny.
