Review on LTA149B780F Controller M NT68676 2A: Powerful Advertising LCD for VSDISPLAY by Jeremy Croft

A bit difficult to set up on AMD

The monitor has some peculiarities in terms of viewing angles. Viewing from below, left or right, even from fairly acute angles, works quite well. There is some color distortion as the angle is increased, but I was very impressed. However, if you look directly from above from almost any angle, the colors and image quickly falsify. It didn't make much of a difference for my purposes, but it could make it almost unusable in certain configurations. As others have noted, this monitor is identified by Windows as a 1280x720 monitor by default. It can display video at this resolution, but everything is split halfway up, making the text difficult to read. The reviews include examples of how to get it working with Nvidia cards, but I have a Windows 10 system with an AMD graphics card and the setup is so different that I've had no luck getting it to work. I ended up downloading an application called the Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) and was able to get it working very quickly and hopefully this will help someone else get it working. I would recommend doing this with the VSDisplay monitor as a secondary monitor so it doesn't get stuck at a resolution you can't see a way out of. Once you open the CRU, a drop down list will appear in the top left corner listing all the monitors you have on your system. Select the VSDisplay monitor. Mine identified itself as "ROW0000 - AAA". In the detailed permissions section, click the Add button on the top right and add the details in the attached screenshot. Make sure everything is correct, then click OK. You should now have a resolution of 1280 x 390, which is listed in the detailed resolutions section. Click on it and then click the up arrow just below that section to move it to the top of the list. On the CRU main window, click the OK button and reboot the system. After Windows restarts, go to the normal Windows display settings and select the VSDisplay monitor. You should now see the 1280 x 390 resolution option listed in the resolution drop-down list. Select this option and you're done. Aside from the viewing angle and a slightly more complex configuration than it should be, I'm very impressed with this monitor, especially considering the price. This would be a great canopy for a vertical arcade cabinet that you could almost guarantee is being viewed from a slightly negative angle. The front panel and chassis are made of thick sheet metal, similar in thickness to server and network equipment. I wish it came with some kind of leg or stand but I'll be making some more arms to attach to the existing threaded holes. high. AMD Radeon GPU and Ubuntu 22.04. After playing around with xrandr for a long time I came up with the following settings which I put in my .profile and they work great. First you need to run xrandr and find the device name for the monitor. In my case it was "HDMI-AO". You must change this device name in the following text to what it is called on your system. A note: This happened even with the WAYLAND system disabled due to some software incompatibilities not related to this monitor. I'm not 100% sure if this works with WAYLAND or not. xrandr --Output HDMI-A-0 --Set "Scaling Mode" to "Full"
