If you are sharpening your blades to very fine grit, 3000 grit or higher, you should use these as the spin mix instead of green or red. Especially when used as the final step in sharpening an edge to remove burrs. Green is good for used edging maintenance for most people using 600-2000 grit edging. I'm talking about people who want a near-mirror or mirror finish and then want to keep that edge by using it at the end of every cutting day. It's great for that. I found this out from years of sharpening experience and using green as the only joint, at one point it felt like a step backwards. The blue isn't the same and now I finish my edges with a 14000 grit (or maybe 0.5 micron or 1 micron, can't remember the conversion).
