Good size for a medium sized dog.
This gate keeps my dog in his room and I have the choice to close the door or not. I usually open the door to air it out. I have another taller gate from the same company that I use to keep my feral cats out of my bedroom at night. The wild cats are 7 years old and in excellent condition. The male jumped over it once and then decided it would be easier to cry at the gate to wake me up than jump over it. Because he's taller, I can't close my bedroom door, but I don't mind. I like both exits.
