An ideal replacement for the factory part

Bosch makes good spare parts so I bought it without hesitation when I saw this unit. When I received my part today, it was installed in just a few minutes. I spent a little more time unplugging the power connector from the old part so as not to damage it. You need to place a small flathead screwdriver on top of the latch and push it down, then gently pry it off the connector. I also stuffed it with paper towels before removing it from the engine and I only opened it slightly until the pressure was released so it wouldn't splatter all over the place. I also noticed where the fuel was leaking through the old o-rings, so I cleaned up the assembly area before installing the new part. I lubricated the new o-ring with AC oil intended for seals to keep it from cracking when installing. After installation I ran the engine, it runs smoother and comes out of the cold circuit much quicker than before, but I can't attribute any of this to the sensor as the temperature is warmer today.

  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Exchange possibility
