I bought two of these for my small dogs. The Xx Small fits my 3 lb Yorkshire perfectly. And x small for my 8 lb mini doxie is perfect. However, these jackets won't withstand a dog's head when I'm in the water. They are more like a thick vest than a life jacket and have no material in the neck area, so there is no support for the dog's head. Both of my dogs swim so these vests were designed as an extra precaution. However, they are much more dangerous for dogs than swimming naked because they swim in the water and tend to turn them over in the water instead of keeping them upright! All in all I am very disappointed with these vests, save your money and find another way to protect your dog in the water because these vests will drown him.
